Recently, a close friend of mine got me into Marvel, and when I get into something, I really, really get into something. I started returning from my library outings with stacks of trade paperbacks and DVDs. I grabbed the first season of The Spectacular Spider-Man and watched it in a couple days, and then went back for the second season. Pleased with the web-slinging action, I wanted more, and grabbed the Spider-Man film trilogy from the library.
I think I did myself a major disservice watching the animated series first, because it runs through almost the exact same Spider-Man backstory… and it does a much better job at it.
